Housefull Movie Review
Being the first release after the 2 month dry spell at film theatres post IPL, audiences were enthusiastically awaiting a picture. While in whole it does fall short of being the big huge summer entertainer that it is been claiming to be, it though manages to cause a lot of laughs for you. However, ultimately it settles down in familiar territory.
Sajid, who also wrote the movie, strains too strong to add humour to every frame. He resorts to the everyday gay and Gujarati gags. He packs just about everything to entertain you for the next two hours. The two things you expect from Housefull are non-stop laughter and non-stop entertainment. As promotors had already announced this fact previously.
To give Sajid due acknowledgment, he has created many rip roaringly comic situations that are further enhanced by his actors. Akshay and Ritesh together carries out most of the hilarious scenes.
It’s not merely an assemblage of funny sequences or a mere montage of comic scenes. The story is about pretenses, and how in the name of saving one’s face and reputation, lies lead to bigger lies, stemming from wanting to impress family members. Housefull narrates the story of Aarush (Akshay Kumar), the unluckiest man in the world!. Being jinxed, he believes his bad luck can vanish if he finds true love. In the process he gets married to the rich mans daughter Jiah Khan. Then Sandy also falls in love with Aarush. Sandy is played by none other than Deepika Padukone. Then enter another girl Hetal played by Lara Dutta (Bobs wife) into the plot. To spice up the matter Sandy’s brother Arjun Rampal also enters the plot. How Aarush and his friend Bob (Riteish Deshmukh) sort out of this jumble, forms the crux of the picture.
Every body does a commendable job. I am not attempting to write a full housefull movie review here.Akshay underplays his part superbly. All those who felt that the actor tends to get loud or needs to be controlled will change their belief with this movie. Riteish is extremely usual. Though the story primarily revolves around Akshay, Riteish stands shoulder to shoulder with Akshay in this one. Arjun Rampal is fantastic. Deepika is a surprise. She carries her part with awesome confidence and again, post Om Shanti Om and Love Aaj Kal, Housefull is the film that would make public spot her skills as well as beauty. Lara is a experienced person when it comes to comedies and she’s too good yet onceagain. Her scenes with Riteish in particular and also with Boman are first-rate. Jiah is a revelation. Although she doesn’t get much scope, she manages to register an impact.

Kavya Madhavan in Pappy Appacha
Latest malayalam movie “Pappy Appacha” is directed by Mammas. It is another picture of shrewd and notorious father son duo played by Dileep and Incent. There had been many movies depicting the father-son combos in Malayalam. They have built up a business world consisting of hospital, school, bar and many institutions. Annie (Kavya Madhavan) plays as a teacher who was appointed in their school. Annies father is a social activist. She raised her voice against the dishonest deeds of Paappy (Dileep) and Appachan (Incent).
They carry on by rolling funds and when they face a real shortage, they resort to insurance fraud.
Kavya is teacher in the shcool run by the father and son. Annie had besotted Paappy ( Dileep). Both had a dispute while they were in school after Pappi played a prank on her in school. Annie’s decision to contest election against son changes the plot and things start rolling from there.
The film seems to concentrate on Dileep and his mannerisms rather on the story. There are comedy scenes that one finds it very hard to digest. Dileep’s role as a son, and hero is quite impressive but his unnecessary jokes and gestures makes it a bit boring. Kavya’s role as a school teacher is outstanding. But this time their chemistry hasn’t clicked well.
All others in the cast including the villain role played by Suresh Krishna and Asokan, who plays a rich man, are ok. Music is directed by Vidyasagar and the movie by Mammas. The movie is to attract mainly children with the comedy and Dileep’s mannerisms. But as far as adults are concerned, it may be hard to digest.

Apartment Movie Bathing Scene Makes News
Apartment, directed by Jagmohan Mundhr, will be released on April 23. Much hype is created on this movie prior to the release due to the bathing scence in the movie.
Neethu Chandra, 25, claimed that the media is wrong to react so strongly to Neetu Chandra Bathing Scene in the movie. “There is no vulgarity or cheapness in the shower scene,” she says, “The shot gives an illusion that I am not wearing anything but it is a trick of the camera. It’s an illusion that the filmmakers have created because I wasn’t comfortable shooting otherwise.”
“I play a hostel girl in the movie and in that particular scene I am just thinking about something while bathing. Now this is something so many of us do and can connect with. Besides, you can’t wear a lehenga in the bathroom. What’s realistic cinema then?”
Aprt from Neethu Chandra, Anupam Kher, Tanushree Dutta, Neetu Chandra, Rohit Roy are doing main roles in this movie.Tanushree Dutta is happy about her roles in the movie as APARTMENT is a woman centric film. Also Neetu clarified that there is no lesbian element in the movie. “Apartment is not a lesbian film at all,” she confirms, “Why is it believed that if two females live together, they are lesbians and when two guys are together, they are gays? Haven’t we been brought up together with our brothers and sisters? I don’t know what is wrong with some people. They should just relax rather than be thinking around stuff like this.” She added.

Gul Panag locked in Shatabdi Express Toilet
Recently Gul Panag was locked in a toilet of a train accidentally.
The Dor star was travelling in Shatabdi Express and was worried that the latch was not strong enough to hold the door, but it turned out to be more strong than expected.
“Got locked in toilet of Shatabdi. Was worried about the latch not holding and thus my modesty, but turns out it held good. More than good (sic),” Gul twitted on this incident.
The Dor actress had to struggle about ten minutes inside the toilet, before she could open the latch. “Ten min spent in wildly moving jail (toilet) was not fun. On a brighter note, about to reach C’garh (sic),” Gul described her bath room episode.
Gul is not the only one to have found herself in such a situation, actress Preity Zinta was locked in the Delhi airport toilet in January and had to climb out of it as the door did not budge.
Gul was in Delhi recently to teach school children the right to sanitation on World Health Day function organised by Sulabh School Sanitation Club and Sulabh International Social Service Organisation.

Action Movie PRINCE Review
Vivek Oberoi acts as one of the savviest thief in the world. Aruna Shields is pairing with him. Vivek is thief on the run. One fine morning this thief discovers a gun shot in his hand. In his quest to find answers he discovers his name is Prince, he used to work for a man named Sarang and his girlfriend’s name is Maya. He is being investigated by secret service of India, CBI, and underworld criminals. He has enough reasons to be scared.
As with every heroes, he got sharp instincts comes to his rescue to save his life. However web of deception spins and he gets even more entangled.
The film was earlier set for a March 26 release, but work on its post production and visual effects of high voltage action scenes is still in process. Now it is rescheduled for an April 9 release.
