“I’d love to. However I don’t believe in holding onto something. People love me today and I know it. I cherish their love for me in my heart although I am not an exhibitionist. Actors do post pictures of their fans on networking sites but I don’t do all that. I don’t want to hold onto something by keeping pictures etc. I’d rather just remember it and kept it in my heart. I am not expressive either. I like to keep to myself” said Katrina.

Seems like Katrina fans will have to wait a bit longer before they could interact with her online.

Once again Bollywood beauty topped the sexiest women in 2011. This time the poll was conducted by the men’s lifestyle – FHM. The FHM 100 Sexiest Women poll is based entirely on online polls and SMS with over 35,000 entries being cast this year.

Interestingly, the more Katrina says that she doesn’t believe in these titles – sexy, beautiful, gorgeous, the more she is getting ‘caught’ in various such titles and tags over and over again. “If somebody is graciously giving me something why should I refuse it,” smiles Katrina. And she would definitely want to keep these titles. “When I grow old, I would like to tell my grand children about the titles I won,” said Katrina, who is sans make up most of the time when she is not shooting. “If you come and stand near my house you will always find me without make up. And even when I am visiting my friends or going out for family dos, I don’t use make up,” she added. Katrina Kaif has previously been voted the Sexiest Woman in the World by FHM India in 2008 and 2009.

Kabeer Sharma, Executive Editor of FHM India, says, We’d love to say 2011 was a close contest…only ‘Sheila’ made sure it was far from. A feat that becomes even more significant because no woman in the world across all 28 editions of FHM has ever won the sexiest woman in the World title three times in the last 17 years that we’ve been making the list.

Though Katrina’s film career is currently not at its peak with not many releases happening, she is still the toast of the season as not too long ago she was the only Bollywood actress to feature on the India Today’s Elite Power list and has the most google searches than any other Indian celebrity. If that wasn’t all Katrina was immortalized by Mattel who created a one-of a-kind ‘I Can Be a Movie Star’ Barbie Doll sketched on her image.

Even the cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar had to bow down to Katrina Kaif as she the again topped the list of the sexiest women 2011 with her average rating being higher than that of Sachin.

The poll was conducted by the world’s largest men’s lifestyle magazine – FHM. “Katrina’s average is higher than Sachin Tendulkar’s and she replaces Deepika Padukone who won the crown in 2010,” says Kabeer Sharma, executive director, FHM, India

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor may not be friends any more. But professionalisum comes first for an artist. Ex lovers Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Ayan Mukerjee’s next, ending all speculation about the cast of the film. Over the last few months, there were reports that either his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone or his latest B-town friend Anushka Sharma would star opposite him. But now it’s confirmed that Kat has bagged the Wake Up Sid director’s project.

Says a source, Ayan was going back and forth about who to cast in the film. It was a very difficult period given Ranbir’s relationship with Kat was on the rocks. They were going through a rough phase and it wasn’t clear if they would want to work with each other immediately or take a short break. Ayan’s heart was set on Katrina, but he was also considering options.

Meanwhile, we learn that Deepika Padukone was never in the running, even though she is very close to the director. So the much-awaited reunion of the ex-lovers will have to wait. The source reveals, Ayan wants to make a film with RK and Deepika Padukone but it isn’t this one. There was confusion after he told a couple of people at a party that he wants to make a film with Deepika.

Adding that this has been one of the toughest decisions for Ayan, the source says, Anushka would have loved to do the film and had even told friends how excited she was about getting to work with RK. But things didn’t workout and Ayan went back to his original choice Katrina. She has been finalised after a recent meeting between the three of them. This will be their third film together after Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahaani and Rajneeti. Pre-production work for the film will start in the coming months and there will be an official announcement regarding the casting soon.

Actress Katrina Kaif is so taken by a French film that she’s considering turning producer to recreate it in Hindi.

Katrina is in the process of buying the rights of the film to make a Hindi remake and is also in talks with production houses like Eros and UTV for prospective collaborations as the actress also plans to launch her sister Isabel with the film. It is to be noted that many actresses have started looking at other lucrative avenues while there’s still active in Bollywood. Going by the current trend, we will get the opertunity to see many more actress-turned producers in the future.

Says our source, “Whether Katrina accepts a film or not is her prerogative. What is really annoying though is that she keeps people waiting for the longest time before she says a ‘no’. In the case of Kunal Kohli’s film, she apparently kept them waiting for six months before she excused herself.”

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif’s chartered accountant has declined rumours that she declared an unaccounted revenue of Rs.6 crore when Income Tax (IT) sleuths raided her residence early this week.

“A search was carried out by the Income Tax department (on Monday) at the residence of my client Ms. Katrina Kaif. My customer is bothered by the speculative news circulating in the media that she has disclosed unaccounted income running into crores (of rupees) and unaccounted lockers were found.

“The fact of the matter is that no unaccounted income has been declared by her. Katrina is fully cooperating with the IT department, which she holds in high regard,” Katrina’s chartered accountant insisted in a press report.

The IT department also raided the residence and office premises of actress Priyanka Chopra, as well as celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar. The officials were investigating whether the celebrity trio had paid taxes proportionate to the known income earned by them during the past year and more from various sources.

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif says she drew inspiration from pop star Shakira for the sizzling item song “Shiela Ki Jawani” from her upcoming film “Tees Maar Khan”.

When asked by reporters here about comparisons of her dance in the superhit number with that of Shakira, she said she can only dream of such comparisons.

“I can only dream of such comparisons. To be very frank, I drew inspiration from her. If my dance in the song ‘Shiela ki Jawani’ reminds the viewers of Shakira, it’s a huge reward for me,” said Katrina Kaif, who was in Kolkata with her “Tees Maar Khan” co-star Akshay Kumar Saturday for the promotion of the film.

She was all praises for director Farah Khan and gave her the credit for the grand success of the song.

“We have worked hard for the song. But the credit goes to Farah and her conceptualisation of the song. She is a brilliant choreographer,” the actress said.

“Tees Maar Khan”, directed by Farah, is slated to release Dec 24. It has already hit the headlines for its scorching item song “Shiela Ki Jawani” featuring Katrina.

Asked about her role, Katrina said she is not so bold in the film as it seems from “Shiela Ki Jawani”.

“My role is of an aspiring actress. She is not so very aggressive as it looked in the song. She is very naive and sweet. She is the girlfriend to Akshay in the film. She lands herself into trouble because of her own stupidity. It’s a fun kind of a character,” the actress said.

The movie revolves around Tarbez Mirza Khan, a criminal played by Akshay, and his girlfriend Anya played by Katrina who gets the job of robbing antiques worth Rs.500 crore from a heavily guarded moving train. The film is an action comedy.

Kaif was born in Hong Kong on July 16, 1984 to an Indian Kashmiri father and a white British mother. One of eight children, all daughters, she was raised in Hawaii. At age fourteen she was approached by an agent and began modeling; her first job was a jewelry campaign. She continued modeling in London.

At the age of fourteen, Kaif started modeling for a jewelery campaign in London, and was subsequently discovered by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a part in his film Boom(2003).
She moved to Mumbai and was offered a number of modeling assignments. However, filmmakers were at first hesitant to sign her because of her linguistic shortcomings.
